Recruitment

February 2020

We are recruiting again!

We operate a highly successful trainee scheme and five of our current surveyors are employed whilst they study.   All of our recent graduates attained first class honours degrees.

Available Position: Assistant / Surveyor

Experience: We are looking for those who are enrolled on, or have successfully completed, a suitable Quantity Surveying degree course and have some experience of quantity surveying.

Training we provide: Fully funded from undergraduate to becoming chartered.  If you are enrolled on a suitable course, you will study at university for one day per week and gain work experience for the remaining four days per week.   You will be provided with assistance and mentoring to become chartered.

Starting Salary: TBA.  All employees are given the option to join our non-contributory pension scheme and a Private Health Scheme for those over 25.

Annual Leave: 25 days with one additional day per each five years of continuous service.

Personal Attributes: Good written and verbal communication skills, initiative, and a willingness to follow as well as lead.

Driving: Being able to drive will be an advantage but is not compulsory.

There is no need to provide a CV in a specific format.  We will be looking for a well structured application, paying particular attention to Personality and Qualifications.  We will expect you to have undertaken research for interview, and to have knowledge of the RICS.  Quantity Surveying, and the routes you may take to become Chartered.  All you need to know can be found at www.rics.org.

We will ignore statement advancing the perception of personal skills, unless they are supported by references. We are not so much interested in your past ability to ‘meet deadlines’, be ‘focussed’, or be ‘committed’, as we are in our own assessment of whether you are the right type of person we want to invest in as a member of our team.   Tell us concisely about your hobbies, your interests, your likes, and your dislikes.

Available Position: Trainee Surveyor

Experience: None required.  We are looking for school leavers with a minimum of 112 UCAS points including BCC at a-level or above and GCSE’s in English language or literature and maths at Grade C or above (or equivalent – please check with the University of Greenwich or Southbank, if you’re uncertain).   Preference will be given to candidates achieving A or A2’s in Maths, with either English, Geography, or a Science related subject, but we will consider other combinations.
